We started EZStay to bring proper, hands-on hosting back to short-term rental management.
Our story
Full management, without losing the person.
EZStay manages short-term rentals for landlords across Airbnb, Booking.com and LekkeSlaap, based in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal. We started the business because most of the industry had reduced hosting to a keypad code and an automated message. There's a gap between doing everything yourself and handing your property over to something that impersonal, and EZStay exists to fill it: full professional management, with a real person still meeting your guest at the door.
We're a young company and we're growing carefully. We'd rather take on properties we can genuinely give this level of attention to than scale past the point where 'personal' stops meaning anything.
Our approach
In-person hosting, as standard.
Every property we manage gets checked in and checked out by someone from our team, in person. We walk guests through the space, answer questions on the spot, and stay reachable for the length of the stay. Self-check-in via keypad or lockbox is there as a backup, for a late flight or an early departure, but it's never the default. Most operators quietly dropped this as they scaled up. We haven't, and we don't plan to.

On the ground, EZStay's hosting is led by Mahomed Zaheer Seewa, who handles guest walkthroughs, check-in and check-out, and the day-to-day running of our managed properties. As we grow, the team grows the same way: people first, properties second.
